Restorative Breathwork® Advanced Facilitator
Mentorship and Practicum

The Advanced Facilitator Mentorship & Practicum offers a sacred container for seasoned students of Restorative Breathwork® to deepen their presence, refine their facilitation, and embody the spiritual maturity needed to hold space for profound transformation. This intimate, hands-on program is designed as a bridge between personal mastery and sacred service—supporting you in stepping more fully into your role as a facilitator and steward of the breath.

Rooted in the esoteric principles of the subtle breath, the mentorship explores the deeper nuances of energetic guidance, intuitive listening, and transpersonal facilitation. Through live breathwork practicums, personalized mentorship, and direct energetic feedback, you’ll cultivate the subtle sensitivity and inner stillness required to guide others with authenticity and grace.

This is not a teaching of techniques—but a transmission of presence. As you attune more fully to the quiet intelligence of the breath, you will learn to guide from within—resting in the still point and allowing prana to lead the way.

Whether joining in person or via livestream, this advanced practicum offers a rare opportunity to be deeply mentored in the art of holding space for others, while also continuing your own spiritual unfolding.

Training Structure

This advanced mentorship is offered in a hybrid format, combining the depth of in-person immersion with the flexibility of online engagement. The structure is intentionally spacious to support integration, personal refinement, and embodied learning.

In-Person Immersion (or Livestream Participation):
At the heart of the program is a sacred, small-group immersion where students receive direct mentorship, engage in live breathwork practicums, and refine their facilitation through hands-on guidance and peer-to-peer exchange. This setting offers a rare opportunity to receive real-time energetic feedback in a supportive, spiritually attuned environment. For those unable to attend in person, livestream participation allows you to be part of the learning container from a distance while still receiving personalized attention.

Live Mentoring Sessions:
Following the immersion, participants continue in small-group Zoom sessions that provide ongoing mentorship and integration support. These intimate gatherings offer space for reflection, Q&A, and energetic refinement as you deepen your facilitation skills and spiritual presence.

Facilitation Practicum:
Participants will be invited to facilitate breath sessions—either with peers or clients—and receive feedback on their presence, energetic attunement, and ability to hold sacred space. These sessions are supported through written reflections and optional 1:1 mentor consultations.

Self-Paced Integration:
Between sessions, participants are encouraged to engage in personal breath practice, journaling, and subtle observation. This self-guided work is essential for developing the inner spaciousness and intuitive sensitivity that Restorative Breathwork® facilitation requires.

Kathleen Barratt

In the early stages of the 1980s, Kathleen Barratt embarked on a transformative journey into the world of breathwork, initially training in modalities that emphasized intense emotional release through hyperventilation techniques.

However, her more than two decades of extensive studies in bioenergy with renowned healer Mietek Wirkus led her towards a gentler, more nuanced approach. Drawing on the wisdom of Eastern breath meditation traditions, she crafted a 'yin' style of breathwork that embraces the breath's natural rhythms rather than seeking to control them.

A respected educator and practitioner, Kathleen has facilitated Restorative Breathwork workshops and trainings across the United States. She has been a featured speaker at respected venues like Edgar Cayce’s Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) in Virginia Beach, and the International Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and Energy Medicine Conference in Boulder, Colorado.

Registered as an E-RYT 500, Kathleen also holds a Master Certificate in Bioenergy Healing from the Wirkus School of Bioenergy. Since launching the Barratt Breath Institute in 1988, she has been a guiding force in both personal and professional studies in the interconnected fields of breathwork and bioenergy healing.

Advanced Facilitator Certification Exam

Following completion of the Advanced Mentorship & Practicum, participants who have met all training requirements are eligible to move forward into the certification process. This final stage includes both a written and performance-based exam designed to assess your readiness to serve as a Restorative Breathwork® Advanced Facilitator.

As part of the certification process, students will submit one video recording demonstrating their ability to skillfully guide advanced Restorative Breathwork® sessions. These sessions should reflect the principles of subtle facilitation, energetic attunement, and spiritual presence cultivated throughout the mentorship.

In addition, each student will be observed facilitating a live breathwork session under the direct supervision of Kathleen Barratt. This performance evaluation allows for personalized feedback and honors the unique arc of each student’s apprenticeship. The exam may include review of diverse case studies to ensure readiness across a range of facilitation scenarios.

Upon successful completion of all components, participants will be awarded the Restorative Breathwork® Advanced Facilitator Certificate. Certified graduates may use the title Restorative Breathwork® Advanced Facilitator in all professional and promotional materials.

Prerequisite: Certificate of Completion from the Advanced Restorative Breathwork® Facilitator Mentorship & Practicum

Certification Extensions

These extensions are tailored on an individual basis and are designed to support students in fulfilling the remaining requirements for certification.

This approach honors the depth of the work while offering compassionate guidance along the path toward mastery and spiritual readiness.
